Licensed Clinical Social Worker Cindy is well known in the Sarasota-Bradenton mental health community. She brings excellent clinical and administrative experience to Alliance Counseling Services, Inc., having served in hospital, educational and private practice settings over the last 30 years. Cindy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist who earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Texas. She has lived in Sarasota for 27 years having established a private psychotherapy practice here 25 years ago. She also co-founded the Counseling Center at St. Boniface Episcopal Church in 1997.
Cindy’s areas of expertise working with adults, couples, and families include: sex therapy, depression, anxiety, life transitions, transgender issues, parenting, relationship issues and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, as well as speaking to a variety of groups in the community on these and other mental health topics. She has a vision of providing emotional and spiritual care for the whole person and is excited to provide leadership to the ongoing ministry of Alliance Counseling Services, Inc.
Shirley's training in Counseling comes from the University of Texas and her training in Spiritual Direction is from the Anglican School of Theology where she focused her research and writing on the dynamics of Healing and Wholeness in the Christian Community. Licensed Mental Health Counselor Callie joins Alliance Counseling Services, Inc. as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She has developed her work as a counselor at the Charis Center as well as at First Step's Residential campus, which specializes in residential substance abuse treatment. She enjoys working with people of all ages providing counselling on a wide range of issues including: anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship/marriage difficulties and enrichment, life transition issues, long term illness, addictions, unwanted fears and behaviors, adolescent/teen issues, spiritual matters and other mental health issues. Her education, experience and faith combined make the foundation for her desire to help individuals and families live healthy, content and fulfilled lives.
